BASED ON A TRUE STORY.

In 1989, 20-year-old Tommy Clifford's death was initially believed to be a suicide, leaving his coworker, Rick Ciccone, burdened with guilt. Two years earlier, Tommy, a summer employee at a land surveying company, had lost his two best friends in a tragic car accident during a trip he couldn't attend. Overwhelmed by grief, Tommy confided in Rick, then a young wrestler with dreams of his own. Though Rick offered support, he spent years tormented by the belief that he hadn't done enough to save Tommy from his despair.

Years later, Rick learns the shocking truth: Tommy's death was not a suicide but a tragic accident. While fixing his stalled pickup truck on the New Jersey Turnpike, Tommy was struck and killed by a passing truck. This revelation forces Rick to confront his decades of guilt and misplaced blame. In a poignant dream, Tommy appears to Rick, offering forgiveness and reassurance that his small acts of kindness had meant more than he ever realized. This heartfelt encounter brings Rick the closure he desperately needed, reminding him that even the simplest gestures can leave a lasting impact.

WARNING: THIS BOOK CONTAINS MENTIONS OF SEX, EATING DISORDERS, DEATH AND SWEARING! IF ANY OF THIS AFFECTS YOU, DO NOT READ! - Finished on February 10th 2024 :) - Lily Taylor had always dreamt of making it big in the WWE. As a young girl, she would watch the matches religiously, her tiny frame curled up on the couch with a bag of popcorn, her eyes glued to the television screen. Her mum had always been supportive of her dream. At the age of seventeen, she stood at five foot one and weighed a mere one hundred and sixteen pounds. Her hair was a beautiful shade of brown, cascading down her back in loose, flowing waves. Her piercing blue eyes were her most striking feature, often making people stop and stare when she walked by. It was in this same wrestling club that she met Demi Bennett, another seventeen-year-old with the same dream. They instantly became friends, bonding over their shared passion for the sport. Demi was slightly taller than Lily, standing at five foot seven, but they were both equally as determined to make a name for themselves in the world of professional wrestling. She weighed in at a solid one hundred and forty pounds, her athletic build a testament to her years of training. Their friendship grew stronger as they practiced together, pushing each other to be better. They even started attending local matches, studying the moves and techniques of their favourite wrestlers, eager to incorporate them into their own repertoire. Despite being smaller in stature, Lily and Demi were fierce competitors, never backing down from a challenge. Their raw talent and infectious enthusiasm soon caught the attention of the club's head trainer, who saw potential in them both. But this all came to a stop when Demi suddenly leaves the club, no warning at all, leaving Lily feeling lost and heartbroken. Lily learned to move on and forget, her once best friend.
