    Demetrius Guevarra, the dedicated captain of Winterville Academy's volleyball team, has always held onto the memory of his first love, Dorothea Devin, to whom he once promised forever with a ring of forget-me-nots. Years later, fate brings them back together when Dorothea transfers to Winterville High as Student Council President.
