Shades of Red

In which Scary; a traitorous heretic made from the scornful hands of abuse, accompanies his co-worker on the path to becoming somewhat human again.

This would have been considered wholesome if Scary did not have ulterior motives.

Emotionless has lived in black and white for his entire life. He has never desired anything other than what the Union has given him. How could he desire anything more when the Union has already given him everything? It gave him purpose, meaning, and a straight, clear path to follow. A path that was custom-made for him, crafted from the holy hands of The Supreme Leader. Yes, Emotionless has everything indeed.

Except for all the things that make him human.

In truth, this had never bothered him before, and he had never planned it to. After all, being more human would render him useless, and how could he carry out the will of his Leader if he couldn't be used? The mere thought of being without a purpose made Emotionless want to put a gun in his mouth.

And judging by the direction things are heading at the moment, he might end up doing just that.
