With its signature V shape perhaps denoting victory, it seems the French flair of the chevron pattern floor can be traced back to the French cavalry under its Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte.
The distinguished chevron pattern floors gracing the living rooms at the Moor Apartments are a style consisting of alternating straight and diagonal stripes.
The dramatic timber chevron pattern captures the high-end attention to style and detail which the French have long been revered for as one world's most eminent fashion icons.
Moor's project director Obaid Naqebullah says these 'chevrons' were the signature design element of Napoleon's French military uniforms during the French Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars from 1796 to 1815.
