Celestine, a young woman from the province, moves to Manila for a new job and hopes for a fresh start. She quickly befriends Mila, her charming and beautiful neighbor, who lives alone and works odd hours. At first, Mila's friendliness puts Celestine at ease, but strange occurrences soon begin to unsettle her-mysterious noises at night, a foul odor from Mila's apartment, and disturbing rumors about people disappearing in the area. As Celestine grows more suspicious, she uncovers a horrifying truth: Mila is an aswang, a shape-shifting creature. The story climaxes as Celestine faces Mila's true form, ending on a chilling cliffhanger, leaving her fate unknown.
