As the Larks hears a haunting eerie melodic tune, they feel drawned to the beautiful sound that urges them to investigate the source. As they investigate the source, the Larks encounters the Nocturne, who reveals themselves as the Fifth Harker. They embody the tales that have been hidden or erased from memory, representing both beauty and chaos.

Each Lark has their own struggles. With Cole as the storyteller, struggling with his identity and feeling insecure about himself, Clémentine longing for independence and breaking out from the responsibilities as the Bellringer, Perrine struggling to balance her sensitivity with the need to remain calm, and last but not least, Kingsley. With Kingsley carrying the burden of each Lark, his protective nature often leads him to take on too much, leaving him feeling guilty and not enough about himself.
