It's just a stupid game ... or at least, that's what Agatha McKenzie thought when she tried her hand at summoning a spirit in her vanity mirror.

Halloween; every child's favourite holiday, apart perhaps from Christmas. Who didn't love dressing up in a costume and gathering a haul of candy to last the rest of the year? Even for those too old to trick-or-treat, there was plenty of fun to be had. Horror movies and costume parties offered entertainment for the older generations.
Agatha McKenzie and her best friends joined a video call, each with a mirror and a candle before them. They all had one goal in mind. Fawn was a practising witch, and she wanted to honour her ancestors for Samhain. It was her idea to ring in Halloween with a seance.
Seven friends peered into their mirrors, Agatha's cloudy with age. Each rested their fingertips upon the frames. They chanted, they shut their eyes, and when they opened them, supposedly they were looking into the eyes of a spirit. It was an innocent ritual, just a bit of fun between friends, right?
One by one, they begin to report strange sightings, sounds, and items going missing. Then, one of them dies. Is it related to the game, or purely a coincidence? If it's not a coincidence, how long do they each have before they face a similar fate?
Agatha only wanted to celebrate her favourite holiday with her favourite people. She had no idea she would come face to face with a demon.

In a war over the food court, an eager barista battles the confident competitor--and her own heart.
***
Young barista Cora Chun takes pride in being a Cool Bean, even after years without a promotion. So when Farron Kam, the younger assistant manager of the competing smoothie shop, flaunts her hatred for her job, Cora is determined to crush her to a pulp.
What she doesn't expect is for Farron to take her up on the challenge.
With that declaration of war, the two begin a battle over the food court: who can serve the most customers, who can close up the fastest, who can grab the last loaf of bread at the supermarket...
But as the rivalry begins to blend with romance, Cora has to decide if she is fighting a battle over beverages, or one over her own heart.
