Haley May is a sweet 16 year old girl, who unfortunately suffers living in an abusive household, under the rule of her toxic mother, Karen. Soon, Josh Randall, Karen's creepy boyfriend, proposes, and moves in with Haley and Karen. Haley's life begins to get worse, and she ends up getting sexually assaulted by Josh. Afterwards, Haley runs away to get help, and ends up running into Miss. Clarissa Nash, the mother of Haley's best friend, Leah. Miss. Nash takes Haley in, and the truth is revealed of what happened. Haley then goes to the hospital to get checked and examined, when Josh is arrested. But Karen refuses to let this go that easily, and puts up a fight. Later, Haley goes to get emancipated from Karen, and wants to find out the truth of what really happened with her dad, Dale. Karen is determined to keep Haley and Dale from finding each other, but for what reason?
