She looked unconvinced, biting her red under lip in doubt, some of her lipstick staining her yellow teeth. "Ma..." Trevor trailed off, "do you not believe me?" He asked, his voice wavering slightly, his mom was known by him for denying everything he said, even if it was true. In recent years though, he had started lying to get out of trouble, she seemed to believe him more when he gave unthinkable answers to her accusations. "I would," she wailed, her body being shook by a tremor, "I wish I could believe you," her eyes were watery, she was barely holding the tears in. "You can, Ma," Trevor tried to reason with her, almost pleading for her to accept what he had said and move on. He dropped his clothes, they fell pathetically on the floor, spreading out. They didn't care, everything else but that was more important at the moment.
