You are the daughter of Black Diamond. Just like Steven Universe, your mother bequeathed(?) her gem to you so you could live. You were born on Homeworld, and the Diamonds thought you were Black Diamond in a different form, so they always called you Black(I know it sounds VERY WRONG, but bear with me, guys.) One day, you decide you've had enough and rummage Homeworld with your Pearl, meeting off-colors and hiding with them as to not be shattered. I do not own the show nor the characters other than my oc's. I will mention what characters ARE mine, though. Other than them, all credit goes to Rebecca Sugar for her amazing work.
