Out of desperation and complete lack of food, Coriolanus and his cousin Tigress go out scavenging. While exploring a dark alleyway, they come across a young boy the same age as Coriolanus bent over a pallet, arms full of tomato soup cans. Wordlessly, he handed the rag-tag pair a couple of soup cans. The cousins wandered aimlessly for hours, disoriented by the cold and hunger. Unexpectedly they come across the boy from the alley, whose name they come to find is Rune. He leads them home, sparking a bond between him and Coriolanus.
