In a world that often misunderstands her, a young girl named Stacy faces the harsh realities of life after being abandoned by her parents at the tender age of six. Diagnosed with Level 1 Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD Level 1) her parents decide that they can no longer afford her medications or even take care of her and decide to give her up instead. She finds herself trapped in an orphanage where the laughter of other children feels like a distant dream. The nuns at the orphanage, overwhelmed and unkind, fail to see the beauty within her, while the other kids bully her relentlessly for being different, deepening her sense of isolation and despair. As Stacy navigates the challenges of her illness and the cruelty of those around her, she battles with depression and self loathing, yearning for love and acceptance. Each time she finds herself back in the orphanage, she clings to the hope that one day, she will break free from the cycle of abandonment and finds a place where she truly belongs or so she believes. This poignant tale explores the struggles of a girl who learns to embrace her uniqueness while searching for the light in a world that often feels dark and unwelcoming. ... This is my first story and I really have a lot of expectations for it because it deals with a lot of emotional step backs some of which I experienced back in High School, well some of it not all ok and I hope you like this story or at least some of you can relate to it especially those in high school. Well have fun and enjoy! ;)
