Together, Hugo and Zoe have to save the Ranch in a fire and raise funds for repairs so it can stay in the family.
Otherwise, Zoe would have to spend the summer sleeping on her grandads sofa in a boring town away from anyone her age.
Once believing herself to be a city girl who thinks horses are smelly and scary, she finds herself rescuing a young horse, relating to it about grief, and training it to be a ridden horse.
Zoe, who hated school, sees she has a talent with horses.
