Many people think of chickens as egg- or meat-dispensers - but when I look at a chicken, I see something different. I see a being with feelings and a personality, capable of loving humans and other chickens like family. I see an animal that deserves a good home, where it can thrive without fear of being slaughtered at a young age. I see a friend. 

This book is to be filled with stories of my chickens, past or present, from before I started my chicken sanctuary or after. Tales of those chickens' lives, struggles, and how they impacted my life.
