Lila has always been the forgotten child, overshadowed by her parents' attention toward her half-siblings and younger brother. Despite her love and dedication, she is treated as little more than a servant in her own home-unseen, unheard, and unloved. Her spirit has been crushed by years of neglect, and she no longer trusts anyone.

But when a chance encounter with a boy named Leo, two years older than her, sparks an unlikely friendship, Lila begins to realize she may not be as alone as she thought. Leo becomes the big brother she's always wished for, slowly helping her heal from the wounds of her past and rediscover her worth. Through their bond, Lila learns to open up again, finding comfort in someone who truly cares.

As Lila and Leo's friendship deepens, their lives take different paths when Leo meets the love of his life, Mia. Through bittersweet moments, Lila watches him build a future while she carves out her own, finding solace in music and embracing the freedom that comes with reclaiming her sense of self.

Told from Lila's perspective, Lila's Journey is a heartfelt and emotional story about love, friendship, and the courage to rise from neglect. It's a tale of transformation, where hope and healing come from the most unexpected places, and where even the most forgotten can find their voice and purpose.

Lila Daniels has spent all of her life living under the protective wings of her three older brothers, Charlie, Lucas and Tucker or in the gymnastics gym training. None of which resulted in much of a social life. All of that changes though the summer before Lila's junior year of high school when her dad gets a new job in a different state. Being forced to transplant her life to the small town of Romeo without her brothers or gymnastics means Lila is on her own for the first time in her life. How is she supposed to start over from scratch and make new friends now?! The thought of having to meet all new people for someone who likes to fly under the radar is hard enough, but to do it at age sixteen? That feels impossible. As fate would have it, Lila meets Payton Johnson on her first day at RHS who introduces her to Rachel, Kelly and Claire. The five become fast friends. The girls make it their mission to break Lila from her shyness and make Romeo feel like home. Oh, and they also recruit her to join their cheer team which isn't something Lila ever thought she'd feel confident enough to do. Then there's Tyler Johnson. He's the senior football captain, star quarterback and most popular guy in school who happens to also be Payton's older brother. Lila doesn't want to catch feelings for her new besties brother, but quickly realizes you can't really control who you crush on. It's not like Tyler would ever go for her anyways, when he's got so many other girls begging for his attention....or would he? In a world where magic is woven into the fabric of nature, Lila Faelan has always felt a deep connection to the flowers that bloom around her. With her pastel pink hair and luminous green eyes, she is quiet and reserved, hiding a profound loneliness. Ever since she can remember, her dreams have been haunted by whispers-murmurs of a forgotten past and a voice that calls to her from beyond the realm of memory. Lila's life takes an unexpected turn when she crosses paths with Aiden Thorne, a brooding young man with a troubled past of his own. Aiden is bound by the rigid expectations of his family, who hold immense power in their world. His stormy blue eyes reflect the weight of responsibility he has never asked for, and he feels trapped in a life that isn't truly his. Their fateful meeting in the midst of a mystical garden sets off a chain of events neither of them could have foreseen. As their bond deepens, Lila begins to uncover fragments of her lost past-memories tied to an ancient curse that has shadowed her family for generations. Aiden, too, begins to question the truths he has been told, discovering that his family's legacy is entwined with Lila's in ways more dangerous than either of them could have imagined. Together, they embark on a journey through enchanted forests and forgotten ruins, searching for the key to breaking the curse. Along the way, they are joined by their loyal friends-Elara, Lila's sharp-tongued yet fiercely protective best friend, and Rowan, Aiden's carefree companion who hides his own secret feelings for Elara. As Lila and Aiden draw closer to the heart of the mystery, they must confront not only the curse but also their own fears, desires, and the question of whether their connection was fated-or if they have the power to rewrite their destinies. The deeper they go, the more they realize that breaking the curse may come at an unthinkable cost: the sacrifice of one to save the other.
