First instalment of A Soldier's Sorrows, stories about a soldier of Einheit and the dark moments they face, whether it end well or not.

Fault and Penance :

Heinrich Kertz, a combat medic in the Einheitian Guard, who is haunted by his failure to save so many men and women on the field, starts to get restless at the fact that no punishment comes his way. He failed so many of his brothers and sisters, let so many die when it's his job to keep them alive. Yet no action is taken upon him? None at all? Fine. He will have to appoint his own penance.
