Shouto Todoroki is a very shy, gay college student who has no idea how to talk to other people and make friends. He's long romanticized the idea of being in a relationship but knows that he'll never get there if he doesn't figure out how to make friends first. He's always preferred his cat, Toji, and books over the company of people and doesn't even know where to start.
Upon the insistence of his sister, Shouto joins a book club that reads books with LGBTQ themes, believing this to be the opportunity he's been looking for. It's a perfect place to find people with similar interests, after all--and maybe a cute guy he can try to ask on a date.
