During the oil age, Lyra and her younger brother Aidan resided in Geortholt, the capital city of Eldoria. As a center of industrialization and advanced machinery, Eldoria was considered the most progressive city in the region. However, despite its prosperity, the siblings struggled with difficult living conditions. They managed to get by with a mix of luck and wit, though it came at a cost. They turned to theft, targeting the wealthy but never the poor.

One night, they devised a plan to steal from a baron, a scheme that almost ended in disaster. Although their heist nearly failed, they managed to evade the guards and escape. However, during their flight, Aidan was seized by a man in a black cloak. Lyra attempted to rescue him but uncovered a shocking truth about Eldoria.
