Lloyd just wants a permanent home. Which goes against his mother's plans to travel around the world in search of strange, ancient pottery. Really, is it too much to ask for?

Apparently it is, because on an otherwise ordinary day, he is attacked at her job and brought to Ninjago - an unusual land where there are snake people, ninjas with superpowers, and dragons. Very different from his normal life.
