In the tumultuous world of Helios, where naval supremacy dictates the balance of power, the Royal Vittorian Navy's crowning achievement emerges: the Dreadnought battleship Adrian von Amstutz. Designed by the ingenious Vittoria, the von Amstutz is not just a ship; it's a symbol of hope against the looming threat of regional powerhouses. As tensions escalate toward a catastrophic war in 1903, the ship and her crew utilize unparalleled skill to navigate treacherous waters, embodying the spirit of a nation on the brink.
However, the glory was soon to end. In 1947, Adrian von Amstutz was tragically lost under mysterious circumstances in a port fire that culminated in a magazine explosion, sinking beneath the waves and leaving only whispers of betrayal and ambition in its wake.
Predictably, fate had other plans.
It was in 1956 when the Dreadnought was suddenly whisked away by an anomalous force, theorized by religious preachers to be the grace of Helios, the God said to have been the creator of the planet. Overnight, the wreck of Vittoria's pride and joy had disappeared.
However, in a twist of destiny, the von Amstutz awakens in the fantastical world of Azur Lane, surrounded by shipgirls, commanders, and powerful fleets embodying the essence of naval warfare, having been given a second chance to begin anew in a world where he could fight for something greater than mere pettiness and rivalries.

The Azur Lane Alliance, a powerful force created in the first world war and expanded upon with the intentions of fighting the Sirens as one, while at the same time preventing another large-scale war like the great war from coming about again, via gathering all the major powers under one flag. Ships of the Sakura Empire struck Eagle Union ships by surprised not long ago, and this action dragged the Eagle Union into the conflict without giving them a choice to ignore or try and stay out of the out-of-control flames, we call war. Meanwhile, the Iron Blood slipped into Royal navy-controlled waters, and a scuffle between the two countries flag ships was set into motion, that ultimately ended with the Royal Navys Flag Ship HMS Hood sent to the bottom of the sea. News of her death would send shockwaves across the WORLD! That would be FELT across the lands, oceans and mountains by all.
