Albus lives in a small English village by the name of Downwaters. He is nineteen years old, and like all nineteen-year olds, he has his own teenage problems to deal with. Certainly not the least of his worries is a recurrent dream that has been keeping him on tenterhooks, and he knows something is fishy when he is greeted by a silhouette in the middle of a Wednesday night, just after waking up from his usual nightmare. In a quest that threatens to change his life forever, Albus makes exciting discoveries, goes dangerous places, and meets unseen creatures; and it all starts with his trip to the riverside.
