The young non-bender Linai lives in Republica, a city torn apart by tensions between benders and non-benders. When she joins the Equalists, she firmly believes in fighting for justice and equality to give a voice to the oppressed. But her convictions are put to the test when she meets General Iroh of the United Forces - a powerful firebender who wants to protect the city from the dangers of the Equalists.
