That's what Mae thought when she decided to help Ava- the girl in the bloodstained dress and dead eyes. Hours later, that same question haunts her, echoing through the chaos unravelling around her.

Now Mae's in way too deep. There's a dead body lying at her feet, and Ava's dragging her into a web of lies, murder, and split-second choices.
