Reaper's Credo

Enemies because they were taught to be.

Allies because they had to be.

Lovers because they dared to be.

Jayden is half Reaper- a race of beings made by the god Aion to spread the word of his religion, the Children of Justice, to humans and punish criminals, either with violence, or death. Her half Reaper heritage, tendency to beat up bullies, as well as her sour attitude have not made her very popular at school.

Sean is half Seraphim- a race of beings made by the god Oryx to spread the word of his religion, the Paragons of Healing, to humans and rehabilitate and redeem criminals. His outgoing personality has scored him many friends at school.

The races these two belong to and their gods have been bitter enemies for as long as they can remember. Jayden and Sean have been taught to hate the other race and the religion they follow since they were born.

When they meet for the first time at their high school, the two are naturally repulsed. But when a mysterious conspiracy involving stolen technology and a gang many considered to be mere "hooligans" starts to form in their city, both realize that this may run far deeper than they thought- and they can't solve this on their own. Against their better judgment, the polar opposites decide to team up to solve the case. But Jayden finds herself inexplicably drawn to Sean, and him to her.

If the two are to save their city, they'll have to reevaluate everything they thought they knew about the other race and religion- and perhaps their definition of love.
