Stuck On You

Being a nineteen-year-old girl in this small town, with drugged out- loser, no lifers roaming the streets every hour of every day, you would have thought one of them would have saw what had happened to me? All I simply remember was going home after my shift at The Rotale Tavern with my best friend and co-worker Jackie, a life-long friend of mine since kindergarten. She went home early that night with a stomach bug, and I stayed till closing time, like always. I left after hours and walked the dark alley home as I always do.
Carefully watching my footing and checking my surroundings a little more than a sane person would do... but not this night. I didn't think much of it as the giant truck floored past me, down the alley just big enough for a small engine car to fit through. All I saw was lights, then everything went dark.
