IN THE DARK

It was well past 12am and the streets lay empty except for Aurelia Gomez who had just finished her late shift at the diner and was making her way home, with one hand on the pepper spray she keeps in her right pocket and another clutching onto the thin sweater she wore. The last thing she had expected on her routine walk home from work was to bump into one of the richest men of New York.. and for him to be a complete asshole.

Lorenzo De Luca was known as one of the meanest and most arrogant CEO's of New York City. His cocky attitude and straight forward personality rubbed most people the wrong way.

One night after checking in on one of his many restaurants he bumped into a woman, usually he would pay no attention but her beautiful long brown hair and hazel eyes caught his attention, well that and the fact she nearly pepper sprayed him.
