Lacy stood at the edge of the room, nervously holding her champagne glass. The party was full of rich and important people, none of whom she belonged with. She felt out of place, but kept her cool.
Then, a scream echoed through the room. Everyone turned toward the grand staircase. A man lay at the bottom, blood spreading across the floor.
