Unexpected
[This is a complete work of fiction; any and all relations to the real world are purely coincidental]
Victor Lowell's POV:
Everyone has that one person in their lives. That person that makes your life a living hell and makes it harder to keep living. For me, that person is none other than 'Jake Larkin'.
Jake is what I know to be an 'asshole'. He starts fights, drinks, smokes in the bathrooms repeatedly and is almost always in detention. It's like a second home now. 'Jake's not at home? Have you checked the detention room?'
Regardless of his shit personality, he's good looking and strong, with girls flocking about him 24/7. They go mad for the whole 'bad boy' and 'I'm so misunderstood' routine. Yet for some reason, he has made it his life's mission to reduce my will to live daily; he shoves and kicks me when he thinks no one is looking, whispers rude things in my ear and trips me up in public.
So you can imagine my annoyance at being forced to tutor him for the rest of the school year.
Jake Larkin's POV:
I don't hate Victor. Really. It's just that he's so...firm. He gets perfect grades, doesn't talk to anyone, mostly keeps to himself...
Why, you may ask, do I make his life a living hell? Well, it's simple.
I want to ruin him.
Not break him, or anything like that, just ruin the perfect mask he has as the top student. And it's not because I'm jealous of his grades, I couldn't give less of a fuck about school, but it's because it's always him. Every time.
Top of the class, valedictorian, scholarship, etc.
But to be completely honest, I'm also a little curious. He's so mysterious. Not in a 'bad-boy' kind of way, but in a more 'ghostly' kind of way; he's always there, but when you want to talk to him he just disappears.
Anyway, even though annoying Victor has become a favourite past time of mine, it doesn't mean I want to spend my free time being tutored by him for some shit I don't care for.
This is not going to end well.
