No one believes that she will actually get through high school, but she has a goal to become an EMT.
She meets the schools quiet kid, Hayden Lynn. Hayden has been in love with Jade for 2 years, but never acted on it due to something she found out around that same time. Something that literally ruins her dreams of ever becoming an artist.
The two meet on the first day of senior year, Jade loves Hayden's company and does everything she can to hang out with her. Hayden worries that Jade may be falling in love with her.
