"Why does it feel like we are..." Saugandhika paused, and looked at Krishna, knowing well that She looked exceedingly puzzled. His eyes were filled with a sweet gentleness that made Her heart burst with love, a knowing gleam weaving through the dark orbs She adored. She knew He understood Her confusion, but was, for some reason, waiting for Her to voice it. "Swami," She tried again. "Why does it feel like we have always known each other?" "We always have known each other, my love," He smiled softly, taking Her palm in His hands, the extent of love in His gestures so obvious to Her. "There has never been a time we have been apart." ***** Saugandhika, the only Princess of Gandhara, grew up in the free, partially matriarchal Kingdom of Gandhara, happy with helping Her family, Her subjects, and spending any free time She could with Her close friends Bhadra, Lakshmanaa and Vijayaa. However, She becomes embroiled in the politics of Hastinapura without wanting to be, Duryodhana trying his best to entangle Her in the large plan he was trying to weave to assert his power. Meeting Krishna at an opportune moment, who She had heard about many times, made Her realize the power of love. The story of the Moon of Gandhara, the daughter of Achala and Padmini, the only Princess of the Kingdom, the wife of Krishna, and of Krishna, the One brighter than crores of Suns, the Lord of Dvaraka, and the form of the very Paratatva that holds up the Brahmanda.
