Katherine, a princess, soon learns that her husband, Prince Ael, has developed a deep attachment to Saintess Elsie, a healer who accompanied him during a battle. Meanwhile, Duke Kaiser, a former friend and fellow student from Katherine's days at the Magic Academy, reenters her life. Back then, Kaiser had fallen in love with Katherine, but her future had already been arranged-she was to marry Ael.

Upon discovering Ael's feelings for the Saintess, Kaiser, moved by both pity and lingering affection, invites Katherine to his own kingdom. There, he seeks to mend her broken heart and, perhaps, finally win it for himself
