Princess Elena of Absudil is offered an impossible choice when her castle is raided and her parents are murdered. Die, or become the wife of Malïk, the hulking, nigh unstoppable barbarian warrior.
Valuing her life, she accepts, and resigns herself to a life almost as bad as death.
But is it? As she lives under Malïk's roof, and grows accustomed to life as his "wife", (which consists of mostly doing chores and entertaining herself while he's on hunts), she comes to realize he's not the muderous brute she first assumed he was.
