In "She Doesn't Exist" a teenage boy's life was thrown upside down and inside out when he met Rosaline Harman and wound up with a secret life and a broken heart. Three years after the girl he loved was buried, Russell Duvall finds his life almost back to normal. He's moved on from his time as an agent for the Underground Quarter and is now a college student living with his girlfriend, Bethany, a government analyst. Thoughts of the murderess who had captured his heart still fill his mind daily and although he won't mention her to anyone, Russell knows that Rosaline will always be in his heart, no matter where his life takes him. Content with the normal life, Russell expects destiny to run its course and take him down the same path as so many others; the path with a wife, a family and a career and he's more than happy with that ideal, already imagining family life and the dream of growing old happily. However, when a familiar black motorbike and its rider appear to be following him everywhere, Russell starts to wonder whether his mind is playing tricks on him or whether the ghosts of his past really are wandering about the city. Soon, the reality of the perfect country he lives in is shattered and his freedom compromised when an old friend becomes the centre of a government investigation in which the penalty is death. Russell finds himself falling back into the dark, dangerous world that he left three years earlier and reunited with people who he thought he'd never see again, before finding out that he soon has to make hard decisions and decide what life he really wants... All before the noose is tightened.

Guns, revenge and buildings to bomb, what could go wrong? ✮ He came in, gun held out in front of him in one hand while the other was resting on his hip where a sharp dagger gleamed in the light. "Come on out little girl, why not make this easier for both of us. The agency you ran away from just want to have a little talk, that's all." She scoffed internally. Yeah right. Then the footsteps ceased. She peeked to the right, then to the left. Neither direction showed any sign of the intruder. She looked up in front of her and gasped, the glint of steel and smell of death as overwhelming as it was adrenaline inducing, exciting. "Boo." ✮ Murder, accidents, assassinations. Call it what you will, it's all the same, all has the same life breaking, mind shattering consequences - be it for the victim or the bystander. It had shaped Alex in a way no one should be. Broken down and rebuilt into the perfect soldier, one who had the power to change the world, to fight battles that would either make or break the carefully constructed vision we all live in. The only small, minute, really unimportant detail - it's pretty hard to get into a government classified site when you're 15 years old and have a rag-tag team of double-crossing back-stabbers behind you. Not to mention the threat of a world war and ghost hanging above your head. Armed with sarcasm, wit, and a hell of a lot of aggressive intentions, it won't be too long till a sticky situation is all that's ahead of you. Sometimes, running head-first into a situation isn't the best idea. Instead, you gotta play a game. A deadly game where either you have all the pieces on the board, or you have nothing.
