Set To Life

Toru Sakamoto, a 15-year-old high school student with no particular hobby, begins his first day at Hoshikawa High School with little enthusiasm. However, his day takes an unexpected turn when Ayumi Nakamura, the volleyball team's manager, drags him to the court because they are short on a setter. Despite his lack of interest, Toru demonstrates exceptional setting skills, catching the attention of the team. Ayumi urges him to join, but Toru refuses at first.

His life takes a more emotional turn when his bedridden mother, Keiko Sakamoto, who has been hospitalized for a year, insists he join the volleyball team. Toru reluctantly agrees, and alongside Ayumi and Kiyo Yamamoto, a fellow first-year and wing spiker, he discovers a newfound sense of belonging on the volleyball court.
