One year later, a group of assassins, sent to kill Garmadon and his family, ambushed them in the night. Garmadon and Misako escaped, but their two children didn't. The couple were determined to avenge their fallen children and defeat the ones responsible for their deaths, or so they thought. In the present day, the ninja, Kai, Cole, Jay, Nya, and Zane, with their masters, Wu and Garmadon, discover a large organization of the same assassins that attacked Misako and Garmadon being lead by a powerful and dangerous foe on an unknown island they never knew about-the Dark Island. This foe was unlike others, he was the eternal enemy of the First Spinjitzu Master. Together, the ninja team work their way over to the island to try and fight them, not knowing that a small group, who aren't so different from the ninja, are already working on it. (May have huge gaps between upload times but this story will be finished, that I can promise) Everyone thinks of Kai as a selfish person who puts himself before others and many other negative things. As Kai's time as a ninja, he always heard these comments and he couldn't do anything about it so he has to bottle his feelings whenever people say this. One day when he was on a mission with Cole to save some adventurous that got stuck in a narrow cave a disaster struck on Kai. After the mission Cole got all the thanks and Kai got none, Cole was the only one who truly understood what happened. Kai gets sick of how he is being treated and leaves to have a walk to take his mind off of things... but then he meets someone he didn't expect to meet...
