My world has six sides: one floor, one ceiling, and four walls. They are padded, warm, and white. They are the only world I have ever known, and perhaps they are the only world I ever shall know.
But... sometimes I wonder if there is another world outside. Another world where footsteps make noise as they pass by my world. Another world where sometimes many people pass by but only one returns....
Will they come and take me from my world? Will they take me away, never to return to the only world I have ever known?

Pushing off the sink in irritation, I turn to leave but he grabs my bare upper arm. My blood boils in annoyance while my skin tingles with excitement. He perks a brow, obviously sensing it. "Your aura is in disarray," he states bleakly. "Yeah, no shit Sherlock." My Earthly phrase earns me a tilt of his head and I scoff. "Where have you been, Beta?" "On a mission in the Xin Galaxy." "Okay? Would it not be wise to inform your OA of any missions that require your departure? Let go." I pull against his grip and he reluctantly lets go. "Yes, however, this mission did not require your presence nor your opinion," he replies candidly. My eye twitches and wordlessly, I turn away once more but his grip on my arm returns, this time more gentle, as if pleading rather than restraining. "I only meant that this mission did not require you to accompany me as my OA in pretence. It's safer to stay with your younglings out of sight anytime the role is not needed," his voice softer. "You disappeared after you..." I pause and shake my head. I feel embarrassed to say it out loud to him. I feel embarrassed at how much it affected me. Riley wakes up with a pounding headache and a cold shiver he cannot seem to shake. Dazed, he stares up at the white tile ceiling listening to the beeping of a heart monitor. An unfamiliar ceiling... in an unfamiliar place. With no recollection of where he's been. This story is a MAJOR work in progress. I would love to hear suggestions and feedback. I know it is VERY slow moving. It's just a super rough of a lengthy story that's been in decades of production.
