My world has six sides: one floor, one ceiling, and four walls. They are padded, warm, and white. They are the only world I have ever known, and perhaps they are the only world I ever shall know.

But... sometimes I wonder if there is another world outside. Another world where footsteps make noise as they pass by my world. Another world where sometimes many people pass by but only one returns....

Will they come and take me from my world? Will they take me away, never to return to the only world I have ever known?

She was only six, on that day, exactly a year after she was able to escape from the Border, the only person that cared for her was killed, she was caught. She was back in bars, and the words that the guard told her still echoed in her mind. "Stay safe, stay alive," her life rules. And the years fly by, and still nothing happened. Over a million square metres are covered in the backrooms, escaping is tough and keeping your sanity is tougher.
