So there I was, locked in a holding cell at whatever precinct it was in Detroit, Michigan in the year 2038. Really, the whole holding cell thing is a little excessive. I don't know why they needed to go these lengths. I'm in a tiny body, and unfortunately, YK500 androids aren't all that strong, or so I've learned. Mostly the hard way. Kara is sitting across from me, glaring of course, and it's honestly understandable. It's my fault we're here after all. Not really one of my finer moments, I will admit. But hey, it could be worse. At least I'm not dead. Anymore.
Reader gets hit by a car and wakes up in the body of Alice Williams. Shenanigans ensue.

Outbreaks of Deviancy within the everyday android are turning this town rampant; and is turning the police department into a war zone. A hard-boiled eccentric police lieutenant, and his android, RK800 companion are no longer able to keep up with the cases by themselves, and request an additional partner. Everyone in the police department are already over loaded, so CyberLife creates a in-the-works android, developed by Elijah Kamski to investigate, analyze, and problem solve. And it's name is "Sean." A 16 -13 -1. Hank and Connor greet their partner with stress, and demands of perfection. Due to Sean being a project started by Kamski, there are somethings that set him apart from the normal android. There are multiple parts to his "mind" that come to serve his partners. You knew working at the DPD was risky, but passing as human and hiding in plain sight shouldn't be too hard... until CyberLife sends in a new partner. The android who replaced you. The one designed to find everything you're pretending not to be. And he's very good at his job. It'll take you 5 mins to read the first chapter, give it a try ;) I am very proud of this story! This may be written 7 years after the game's release, but I really hope all of you loyal fans are still looking for more content... My two biggest inspirations for this story: - Deviating and Solving Crime with 100% Human Detective Connor by CaotainKenway on ao3 for the whole android pretending to be a human concept. - Deviant Behaviour by Precursor - just general inspiration because it's my fave dbh fic of all time.
