Charlie Smalley lives in a society where you are given the exact date that you will meet your spouse. It's finally the day that Charlie will meet his future wife. Will it be a random stranger? Will it be an annoying girl from his school? Will it be a serial killer? There are so many possibilities. Then he sees her. The one. Adeline Jane. He falls in love with her in an instant. I stepped forward and asked, "Where do you want me?" It took me a second to realize what I just said. Shit! I placed a hand on my crimson face and muttered, "Get your head out of the gutter! You know what I meant." He laughed, his voice sounded hoarse and deep even when he's laughing. I peeked at him from the gap I made between my fingers. He was close. So close. He will find out that Cassie isn't exactly who she says she is and all of his misfortunes will turn around, but everything has a cost. The events that take place influence Charlie into becoming someone he is unfamiliar with. Charlie and Cassie will do anything for one another, even if that means risking their freedom. "Ahhhh!"
