the story in which a grumpy cowboy who competes in races across the globe meets his match when sunshine in the form of a journalist starts interviewing him more and more often. and maybe, just maybe, a romance might spring from this unruly hatred. Dallas Rook is everyone's new favourite cowboy, everyone's favourite grumpy boy with walls filled with trophies and horse statues. everything is going great for Rook until he meets... her. she's everything he's ever hated in a person. intrusive, overly happy and a journalist. but, she's the only person who makes him smile and the only person who doesn't put an extreme pressure on him to win, to be the best. so, maybe she isn't that bad. Kylie Jones is everyone's new favourite journalist. she's interviewed almost everyone in sport. from Daniel Riccardo, to max vestappen to cole Palmer. she loves her job and NO ONE can take it away from her. however, when her boss gives her the job of interviewing the grumpiest cowboy on earth she debates wether it's worth it. or if maybe, she'll start to see him less as a story but more as a person... she wants a story from him, the story of his father so she hatches a plan to do whatever it takes to get the story. even if that means betraying the friend she'd made out of Dallas Rook.

He asked and I looked up at his eyes. I didn't have to ponder over the matter long. "I don't know." I said softly. Daimen frowned and studied me for a while, "Just wondering, because you seem to love pissing me off. And most people don't. So I guess you need some figuring out to do." ********* Daimen and River were both seniors at the same high school, they took some of the same classes, walked the same halls, live in fair distance from each other, but they couldn't have been more different. When high school was over River and Daimen became ghosts to each other but then years later fate decides to bring them back together. River Sparrow hates confrontation. She's jumpy, but tries to see the bright side of situations. She's quiet, soft spoken, the "teacher's pet," and keeps to herself a lot. She's a volunteer at the local animal shelter and loves one dog in particular the most. Daimen Princeston would fight in a heartbeat. He's strong, intimidating, and pretty much has people running for the hills at the very aspect of him getting angry. His devil-may-care attitude swirls around him and no one wants to get on his bad side. Of course River is afraid of him, and she has a good right to be. But when River starts to learn more of the young man everyone fears she starts to see him in a new way. After some time feelings grow stronger and she hopes she's not fallen for a murderer. And if she has, who is she to deny him the love he so desperately needs?
