With the Monkey King possessed, and this Macaque guy who the Monkey King seemed to know also possessed, MK was in a bad situation... With the Lady Bone Demon and the mayor also after him, it only made it worse! MK, now separated from his friends, was worried about them and scared for himself.
Seeing your ex from hundreds, maybe even thousands, of years ago, that you just so happened to kill, back from the dead only to be possessed and on the opposite side isn't something the King of the Monkeys was all too happy to see. He knew he had to fight the six eared simian, who wasn't even in control of his own mind and body, but he couldn't bear to hurt him like he did before.

Things That Follow Me
What was that? A lost monkey? A shadow? A demon? At this point, who knows. He certainly can't tell. MK's eyes and ears start to play cruel tricks on him. He starts seeing and hearing strange things that nobody else can. And, for some reason, he always feels the need to draw whenever something odd occurs. Doing so helps, but not for long. After all, you can't chase away the things that follow you when your mind finally decides to betray you. *This story is based on my OWN experiences with hallucinations. "Hey, bud, have you ever tried to shapeshift into your monkey form without the power behind it?" "Huh? Whatcha mean by that?" "I'm saying that you can probably shapeshift into your little monkey form and not have to fear destroying the mountain again!" Wukong bit into a peach with his characteristic cheeky smirk as he did. "You'll be able to get comfortable using it, so that in the future, if you ever need it, you'll have more control than ever before!" "I... never thought of that. I guess I can try it!" "Haha, yeah! I'm gonna have sooooo much fun teaching you stuff!" The Monkey King laughed, his tail gripped a branch as he let himself fall and hung upside down, as if showing what MK may be able to do someday. Macaque's Successor
The reader is MK's non-identical twin sister. When Pigsy both sent the two out for noodle deliveries, MK went to deliver his stack of noodles, while you did your deliveries, and while you did your deliveries, you found a staff, for a second, you thought it was Monkey King's staff, but it was black highlighted with gold. Without thinking, you picked it up and felt a surge of power through you, and that's when you met Macaque. He looked almost like Monkey King, but with black fur. He saw the staff in your hands and explained to you that only he could pick it up, but when he saw you holding it, he decided to take you under his wing, and make you his successor. So from that point, you trained to be a warrior and fought demons along with your brother. A/n-The reader has the exact same powers Macaque has, like aquatic breathing, enhanced hearing, Shadow Manipulation, Shadow Cloning, Shadow Monkeys, Shadow Transportation, Shadow Hiding, Smoke Generation, and shape-shifting. the title says it all basically. idk. this has just been going around my head for a while so decided to finally sit down and write it This is a "it gets worse before it gets even worse before it's devastating before it gets kind of better" type of thing. CURRENTLY IN THE PROCESS OF REWRITING OLD CHAPTERS, if you suddenly see a jump of quality from an older to some newer chapter, that's because I haven't finished rewriting the older ones yet. _____ A Demon "villain" and a hero? Friends? Or even more? that's something Red son couldn't imagine. Red son, is a fire bull demon, who's trying to be bad, but with Mk around it's.. not always going according to plan. He doesn't understand what love is, and his Parents aren't so great at teaching. he lived confused and scared for a few hundred years, but he never thought about changing anything. He believed that his parents knew best. Mk is an optimistic extrovert, who can do anything if he believes in it. Everyone thinks he's just like before getting his powers but.. he's not. He struggles with PTSD and severe trauma. He thinks everything that happened was his fault, and he lives scared that he'll do another stupid thing that'll change the world to worse. Even tho he really wants to be friends with Red Son, he's scared that he'll make another persons life worse because of him. Even after those thoughts, he still will do anything to help those in need.
