Myriam self exists due to grief, and Eric becomes obsessed with finding out the truth about the death of his only son, leading him to abandon his only daughter leaving her with his alcoholic grandfather that he hadn't talked in at least two decades. But Carine bonds with her grandpa and he becomes her only family before he passes and leaves the old family legacy of the Cabrel Corp.
