“Leave me alone! We’re done Brett.” I screamed at him and went towards my car but all of a sudden I got pulled back.
“No you listen here Tess, we aren’t and never will be done. We are going to get married and have children and live a happy life. You’re not leaving me this time! I’m not letting you get away like you did last time.” He said and slapped me in the face so I hard I started crying.
“Stop your crying and come inside baby we can fix this we always do.” He said.
“No you and me we’re done! I’m sick of you, you’ve been abusing me for the past year and then you cheat on me with nobody other than my best friend! I’m sick of this.”
“You know she meant nothing to me babe, I was drunk it was a mistake. And Tess honey it’s not abuse, its love. “He said.
“I’m sorry Brett, but it’s over. We’re done go find someone else to love.” I said. I could see the anger growing in his eyes and soon I felt another hit to the face, that was going to bruise for sure..
“Stop it!” I shouted and kneed him where the sun don’t shine. He fell on the ground and I took this time to make a getaway. I got into my car, as I was turning down the highway I looked back and saw him starting to stand up he looked angry, but then the gravel turned to dust and I was gone.
