In a world ravaged by fires, where all that's left of once sky high cities and lush green gardens is ash and dust, a girl named Mika is trying to find her place. After running away from home, upon discovering that her beloved safe haven was soon to be taken over by Better Living Industries- the company that owns most everything in what used to be America- she falls in with a crowd of crayon-box colorful outsiders who call themselves the Killjoys and chooses to help fight BL/ind and try to restore her fallen world to at least a glimmer of its former glory. In a world where the good guys lose and the bad guys win, can a girl like Mika ever make a difference?

(Art isn't mine!!) One firefight gone wrong. That's all it takes for someone's life to fall apart, right in front of them. And it happens to everyone eventually, they don't dodge in time, don't hear the drac sneaking up behind them. But they all find peace with the Witch. But Fun Ghoul-- he wasn't dead. Not physically, anyways. He was taken. And Party Poison, having the savior complex they do, can't help but try to save them. Which went about as great as you'd expect considering they went alone.
