"Untouchable memories seem to keep haunting me..."
Shanan Takagi lost her memory and her parents when she was seven years old. All she can remember before being saved by Kakashi Hatake is darkness. Now, she strives to become a light for those she loves. Growing up alongside Naruto and Sasuke, the three form an unbreakable bond, until Shanan and Sasuke's relationship blossoms into romance. As she navigates the challenges of her forgotten past and the looming darkness that consistently threatens to tear her world apart, Shanan must confront the heart-wrenching choices that will define her future. But when Sasuke leaves, will she hold on to the memories they've shared, or will she forget the love that once defined her and move on?
"I loved her against reason, against promise, against peace, against hope, against happiness, against all discouragement that could be."
-Charles Dickens, Great Expectations
**This narrative unfolds with multiple layers, twists, and reveals. All questions will be answered in due time. Also note that there are elements of non-linear storytelling, much like the source material. Audio listeners, please be aware that this structure may be a bit confusing in chapters that include multiple mediums that are more visually clear.**
About the title-
Naruto is a food and so is Sukiyaki. Sukiyaki is also the name of the theme song for the series and both the English and the Japanese versions remain a theme throughout. The tagline is a lyric from the English version and seems to fit well with not just Shanan, but all of the other main characters as well.
tl;dr: I chose this title for the songs and to pay homage to the source material.
