Background for this Fic and my OC; Marcus Garcia is a young man in his early - mid 20s. He's originally from the UK and studied abroad at Empire State University (ESU) in New York. This is where he met Emma Frost. The pair quickly became friends, bonding over their classes in Business Studies, not having many friends and being mutants. Over their time studied they grew closer and closer, becoming more than just friends. However neither of them would ever admit to that over the 4 years. Marcus stayed in New York for a few weeks after graduation, and during those weeks he received a package from the UK. It was from his mum, in it was a necklace, some old photos and a letter. Emma had already moved on from ESU and found herself at the Hellfire Club. Marcus then went home for a couple of weeks to attend some family matters.
(This is a comic adjacent fic, but there isn't any particular story line it fits into.)
