Nathaniel Salvatore was a black sheep shrouded in darkness with no way out. Aria Mikaelson could always find him in it.

In 1864, Nathan believe his two elder brothers to be dead. His father tried to tell him that it was for the greater good, that they were monsters, that they needed to move on. Nathan didn't believe him, life without his brothers was a life not worth living. It was a rainy day in 1865 when 17 year old Nathan decided to take his life. It was 1865 when he woke up still alive and with an insatiable hunger for blood.

In 1001, Aria was killed when her father plunged a sword through her chest, killing her and her siblings. She was fifteen when she woke up with a hunger for blood that could never be quenched. It was also when she woke up finding herself covered in blood that she threw her father across the room with just a flick of her hand. It was from that point on that Aria was shunned from everything she knew, and not long after that her mother was killed and her father took her away. He would make her better, make her strong enough to kill the monster that was named Niklaus Mikaelson. He couldn't have known the monster he was turning Aria into...

They were both strangers, who found themselves on death's doorstep and found themselves with a second chance at a life that hated them. But they didn't hate one another. They were all they had.
