It's been a month since the DWMA defeated Asura. Everyone is happy, as Lord Death is holding a party in celebration to their victory. All seems well until we follow Maka as she strays from the party to visit a friend. She reunites with them in the Intensive Care Unit, the sounds of the heart monitor echoing in the room. The friend Maka has come to visit is Crona. They've been in a coma for the past month. When faced with the risk of loosing Crona, Maka begins to realize how much she means to her.
