After 8 years of hide and seek, Dave finally finds his heart and soul sitting at a small counter of a local coffee shop. 8 years of hunting him down, tears of regret, and tantrums. Dave found him. Karkat Vantas, the boy who ran away from Dave, calling him a "Monster." It was in fact the last thing he had ever said to him. This wasn't just some lame ass high school sweetheart love, no. It was centuries of loosing him, re-claiming, and finding him. All because of one small thread called love in the quilt of life. It was no patch, just a thin thread that can rip you in half. It was a weapon, oh yes, it was. It never stopped Dave. He hated letting him go, but he had to. It was a move that saved his Prince from harm. He had finally gained his title, Knight Of Time. He had finally gained his courage to do whatever it takes, including risking his own life to save the one boy his life revolved around.

But Dave himself wants his eyes to stay hidden, and nobody else has ever seen them. He thinks that if anyone did, they would make fun of him and his good reputation would immediately disappear. The two, basically opposites, find that they actually might get along and relate to each other. But who knows what a simple sentence could do?
