"I think we both saw this coming. I don't think it's much of a surprise at this point but I think it's time we stop this Alex." He knows what Henry's saying, he really does. And yet some small part of him isn't willing to accept it. Because no he did not see this coming and yes it is a total surprise so Henry can't possibly be saying what Alex thinks he's saying.
"I... Henry, I don't know what you're talking about."
"Christ Alex, it's time we broke up."
Alex is stunned into silence. He feels like his head is underwater as he tries to process what Henry is saying.
