Octavius Vaughn, Headmaster of Uiras Academy for Prospective Adventurers, has been retired from being the Adventurer's Guildmaster for a few years now. There were many reasons for his early retirement: an easier job, chronic pain, a war in which he kept getting wrapped up in without ever really wanting to. Still, he kept many friends and made some new ones, yet all of them seem to be getting more and more involved in the war.
As bloodshed hovers over Octavius's head, he has to plant his foot down and make a final decision about his own involvement.

I'm a textbook pessimist and I like it just the way it is. Eynal is a highborn boy who has whatever he could need to be happy but his outlook on life plagues him at every turn, obsessed by the notion that existence is entirely pointless living in his own world void of anything remotely positive he turns a blind eye to anything that is expected of him, but forces beyond him thrust an entirely new situation upon him that he fails to navigate with his usual indifference will he adapt and change as expected? or will he find a way to cast it aside as he always has.
